About Us

Chaparral Carpets was established in Melbourne, Australia in 1975 and quickly established itself as a manufacturing company of quality domestic wool and wool blended tufted carpets.

Over the course of the passed 35 years the company has progressed to specialize in fine gauge tufted products, which have become a favorite of retailers, designers and specifiers for our unique product ranges and colour pallets.

Our company philosophy is simple. “Make a few ranges well rather than making a lot of products average.” This has benefited Chaparral Carpets in two ways.

1. Continuity of products.

The ability to produce standard products on a very consistent basis. To strict product style and colour parameters.

2.    Availability of product.

With fewer product ranges we are able to maintain product stock levels to meet the demands of our customers.

 

At Chaparral Carpets we have seen a lot of changes within the industry. Advances in yarn technologies, manufacturing techniques, product styles and customer demands, we are continually evolving not only meet these changes but to innovate into the future.

With more and more of our competitors sourcing carpet production from overseas we are committed to keeping carpet production, from this family owned and operated business, in Australia.
